Why Use Chinese Cloud Providers?
If your audience is in China or you need ICP filing, a local cloud is necessary. But each has strengths and weaknesses—choose wrong and you may face lag or filing headaches.
Network Performance
I tested nodes in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen for a week. Alibaba Cloud’s BGP network covers the widest area with the lowest average latency; Tencent Cloud has gaming‑optimized routes but slower for general web; Huawei Cloud performs well in North China but fluctuates in the South. Overall: Alibaba > Huawei > Tencent.
ICP Filing Speed
Alibaba’s filing system is the most mature, usually 5–7 business days. Tencent’s support responds fast but sometimes asks for extra docs. Huawei’s process is newer and a bit more complex. Go with Alibaba for peace of mind.
Support & After‑Sales
Alibaba has 24/7 tickets and phone support, fastest response. Tencent’s support is friendly but sometimes escalates technical issues. Huawei offers dedicated account managers for enterprise. For individuals, Alibaba is the safest bet.
